Vanilla Skin on Repeat: A Summer with Ron Dadon, Inside Ron's Universe We Go, One Love Letter at a Time

There’s something about Ron Dadon that feels like a movie. Maybe it’s the duality of her life - split between the sun-washed boulevards of Los Angeles as well as the romantic streets of Paris. Or maybe it’s how seamlessly she balances her many worlds: musician, photographer, designer, content creator. Whatever it is, Ron is doing what most can only hope to; telling stories through every creative medium she touches.

Between Two Cities

Living between LA and Paris offers a rhythm that works for Ron. In LA, there’s hustle. In Paris, there’s pause.

“I’m so used to American hustle culture - it’s exhausting. Paris has slowed me down,” she shares. “Here, people work to live instead of live to work. The architecture, the energy... it’s so inspiring. I’ve written some of my favorite music here.”

One of those songs is quite literally titled Paris - a love letter to the city itself.

Her roots are in music. While many first discovered her online through her creative visuals and storytelling content, she’s always been writing and recording, often drawing from deeply personal experiences. Her latest release marks a new level of vulnerability: “It was the first song I put out that was actually about my ex,” she says. “My nine-year ex. The first songs were about flings after that relationship, but this one? This was different. It had weight.” When asked if it's difficult to sing those lyrics over and over again, she’s honest:

“That’s why I don’t write sad songs anymore,” she says, laughing. “It’s like... if you keep singing it, you might just start feeling it. I want to manifest positive things.”

Though she’s not performing live at the moment, she’s not ruling it out. “I want the shows to feel like an experience,” she explains. “The music is very electronic, so I can’t just stand there. I want the visuals, the production - I want it to feel whole.” Right now, she’s focused on building her discography and letting the momentum grow naturally. “I’m not rushing it. I want the audience to know the songs before I ever step on stage.”

On Influence and Integrity

Ron’s approach to influencing is just as intentional as her music. She’s turned down major deals to protect her brand. “If it doesn’t align with my morals, my brand, or my aesthetic, it’s not worth it,” she says. “Money isn’t worth diluting your vision.”

That clarity comes from experience and from knowing her audience trusts her creative compass. Whether she’s shooting a campaign or simply showing up as herself, she stays true.

Love Letters from Paris

Ron is one of those rare creatives whose career defies labels. She photographs musicians, directs fashion films, writes and produces music, and designs for her clothing brand, Nuvonu. Now, she’s expanding her world once again - with Love Letters, a capsule jewelry collection of oversized alphabet necklaces designed in Paris. Each one is tied to a different story of love.

Launching this summer under Nuvonu, the collection is accompanied by three mini fashion films:

  • Longing Love — A girl receives a letter from a lover across the ocean.

  • Fleeting Love — A summer romance ends, but not before they exchange initials.

  • Self-Love — A girl buys herself a letter as a token of independence.

“I wanted to create something super sentimental—something you could wear, send in the mail, gift to someone, or keep for yourself,” she says. “It’s a very dreamy, romantic drop. Very Paris.”

The strategy behind it is classic Ron - visually led, emotionally grounded, and culturally timely. Think: cinematic storytelling, intimate visuals, and a narrative-led social media rollout across Instagram and TikTok.

“It’s a play on love letter as a message and love letter as a pendant,” she explains. “It’s simple, but it means something.” There’s something quietly radical about the way Ron navigates her creative life. She’s not chasing virality or trying to fit into a box. She’s building a universe—one letter at a time.

And if you ask us, Love Letters is just the beginning.

Burnout, Boundaries & Balance

Doing so many things—photography, music, design, content creation—means burnout is always lurking.

“I’m not always successful at avoiding it,” she admits, “but I try to follow what excites me in the moment.”

Some weeks are for designing. Others are for songwriting. Some are for doing absolutely nothing.

“If I don’t feel like making something for a few months, that’s okay. But I get bored fast,” she laughs. “Creativity has to be fun, or else it becomes just another job.”

Ron’s biggest lesson? Listen to your body. “I used to stress about every little thing. Now, I try not to let it consume me. I’ve been working on becoming more zen—both personally and in business.”

A Brand Built From Real Life

Ron doesn’t force content—she simply documents her life. Whether it’s vlogging her day, designing clothes she actually wants to wear, or styling her own pieces in her music videos, every piece of her world is interconnected. “All the things I do bleed into one another,” she says. “I shoot musicians who become friends. I wear my designs in music videos. I create music inspired by the cities I live in. It’s one big world I’m building—and I love that.”

And with Love Letters, she’s turning that world into something tangible.

A token.

A memory.

A moment.
