Shot across a sun-soaked Californian desert, the collaboration of the season brings together two icons who define what it means to be an It-girl today: Gabbriette and Devon Lee Carlson. Alongside Miaou founder Alexia Elkaim, the trio front adidas Originals x Miaou’s first-ever collaboration—a campaign that captures the cinematic spirit of a Hollywood Western: rebellious, radiant, and forever Miaou.
It’s a meeting of minds as much as aesthetics. Devon, with her signature coquette charm and early Tumblr-era influence, and Gabbriette, the face of modern-day indie sleaze and unapologetic sensuality, embody two sides of contemporary femininity—gritty and glamorous, nostalgic and new. Together, they bring to life the essence of Alexia Elkaim’s vision: clothes for women who dress for themselves, inspired by the past but made for the moment.
Lensed by Morgan Maher, the campaign follows the trio as they traverse the open road—dust clouds rising, sunlight bouncing off metallic fabrics—as they embody the untamed edge of California cool.
The collection itself channels vintage motorsport culture through a distinctly feminine lens. Highlights include the Miaou Boot, a reimagined take on adidas’ Taekwondo silhouette with a high-cut mesh body and bold leather stripes, and the Mei Elite Miaou, a silver satin sneaker accented with yellow stripes and an embroidered “M.” Apparel takes cues from sleek racewear—think asymmetric zip jackets, corset-style track tops, and padded-sleeve dresses—each piece blending athletic function with Miaou’s sultry fit-first design codes.
Since founding Miaou in 2016, Elkaim has built more than a brand—she’s built a movement rooted in community, collaboration, and confidence. This partnership with adidas Originals, a label defined by its cultural heritage and youth-driven innovation, feels like a natural evolution. Together, they’ve created something that feels both archival and futuristic—motorsport meets muse energy.
As for the campaign muses, it’s not just another collaboration—it’s a full-circle moment. Devon and Gabbriette were always destined to be It-girls: California-born, internet-bred, and endlessly referenced. Now, they’re immortalized in a world that’s both desert dreamscape and style statement.
Arriving November 11th, the first adidas Originals x Miaou collection will be available on adidas.com, Confirmed, and select retailers.
So, the real question is—which pieces are you picking up?
